Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 21, 2020
Vanessa’s search for a place to belong has brought her to the attention of a motorcycle club, and the man that leads them. But is there something more waiting for her than sex alone or is this something more than what she ever expected it to be.
The work continues on from the prior story in the series, Vanessa still lost and confused for the most part. But as things transpire, there is a kind of settling of her nature and those around her become something between lovers and protectors.
It’s an interesting shift in story, the erotica remains a bit over the top still, which took me out of the story occasionally. Still, setting that aside, the plot and characters made up for that flaw and overall it was a captivating read.
Vanessa, the succubus of the work, remains very much a creature of sex more than a succubus, at least through much of the story between the little bits of succubus lore that come to light. Those are really interesting and added more to the story than I expected. There’s a bit more of Vanessa’s succubus abilities, a little more of her nature beyond needing sex, and that added a lot as well.
Three out of five pitchforks.
Vanessa is interesting and overall the work has a lot of parts and pieces that swirl around one another to the last page. At the same time it was all in a rush, which felt like a shame as there are a lot of aspects which needed to be explored more but they weren’t.
