Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on September 16, 2025
Yana rushes from her fate amongst the woods and as she does so, the fates, and those fated, meet their own moments as well. With those telling clashes also comes the hints of what will be, what was, and why things are still is a mystery.
The work follows the main character Yana as she is chased, attacked, brought to her knees, and more. At the same time, stories are told of those chasing her, looking for her, and needing her for a purpose to be explained. It’s somewhere between a fantasy adventure and a rather telling work of erotica which has a theme that, for me, held no heat overall.
The erotica is very much male dominated and it also has a brutal edge to it as well. That’s very much a part of the setting and world the story is set in, but with that said, there just wasn’t anything in the erotica that appealed to me. With that said, the story is very interesting and really the erotica doesn’t seem to add a lot to things for the most part, save for two scenes.
As for succubi in this work, one character is referred to as being one, though she is a river nymph, and otherwise there are two characters that might be succubi of some aspect, but that possibility is very uncertain in the story, though there are some hints of it being so very possible.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
The work is so very barely a story with a succubus as part of it, rather than a story about a succubus. With that said, there are two characters that might be, in some way, succubi, but that might be stretching things quite a bit. With that said, I will see what the following works bring.
