Plot Summary
Gideon is an FBI agent on a special assignment. He is resposible for locating the people who embezzeled two point five million dollars. The trail leads him to the daughter of a con man who has the imformation he needs. Gideon makes a point of getting to know the daughter, hoping to find out all he can to help him on his case. He never planned on falling in love. The problem is how to tell the woman you love that you are a FBI agent in charge of investigating her father.
Des is instantly attracted to Gideon, but she has problems of her own. She is the half-mortal daughter of a succubus. Her father is on the run from the FBI and staying in her home and she has four special over protective brothers. Her brothers include a vampire, a devil, an imp and an incubus. They make a point of showing up on her dates, in human disquise. They are just watching out for little sister. Des finds hersle falling hard for Gideon, but worries about introducing him to her very unique family.
Gideon is aware something is going on that he does not know about. Des is obviously keeping secrets. He assumes she is just trying to protect her father. He is determined to find the answers, solve his case, and keep the love he finds with Des.

The story revolves around a Succubus named Des Trevellion who is part of a family of various demon related beings like devils, incubi and imps but has well she has a brother who is a vampire as well.
Interestingly, her family looks like, and somewhat acts like, the stereotypical myths that they represent. More interesting is that they, and as well, other mythical beings, exist and live in the “normal” world of humanity.
This becomes a bit of a running joke as Des attempts to make excuses for things she sees, knows and does with others, but also to attempt to hide what her family does around her and in her life.
Complicating her world is her father, who is a small time crook that the FBI is interested in. So interested in fact that they send out an agent to check him, and by connection, Des out. That agent, Gideon Raines will find himself taken by Des and her with him… and in doing so, he will discover that what he thought he knew about the real world, isn’t quite right.
And possible learn more than that in the end.
I loved this story. Completely and totally so…
I won’t spoil all the scenes and the absolute joy in them and characters that the author brought to life in this work save to say that if you can find a copy of this story, don’t pass on it. You will not be disappointed in it at all.
The point of the story isn’t the sex scenes, there are some, but really it is character development more than anything else. It is wonderful to read a story that you don’t want to put down or have it end. This story accomplishes both of those goals effortlessly.
The writing is excellent. Descriptive in all the right places, funny when it matters, and serious when it has to be. But never over the top or crass or unwelcome in tone or subject. I can still hear the voices of every one of the characters in my thoughts days after finishing the work. That is, truly, impressive to me…
I’m giving this work four and a half pitchforks out of five.
I wish it was a little bit longer… This universe has so many wonderful stories to tell and I wish that they would have been…
The author herself has vanished from the internet, the publishing company is no more and there is but one or two places on the internet that still remember the story…
That’s a shame… It really is.
