Plot Summary
Rayne lived an unassuming life and that was fine. Without any talent or ambition, an average life was the best she could hope for. Then, she was fired. Eager to get out from under her mother’s roof, she applies for a job at the most popular club in the city. She expected to find a decent paycheck and maybe some new friends. Instead, she finds a sexy manager, lustful co-workers, and a secret that will change her life forever.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 19, 2018
Rayne needed a break and getting a job at the number one club in the city seems like a miracle. The truth however is more complicated, and ghas a lot more sex than she ever could have imagined.
The work is a rather slow burn erotic mystery that turns into a romance and something of a story with some succubus character undertones. It’s not really focused on the erotica so much as it is on the character development and that I found to be interesting.
There are a number of succubi characters that Rayne becomes involved with, all have their own personalities and aspects which are, for the most part, glossed over a bit. There is a futa aspect as well, but it’s seemingly less important than the hunger of the succubi and sort of becomes adjacent to that.
Three out of five pitchforks.
An interesting start to the series, but that never came to be. Still, the characters are interesting, there is a lot of mythos about succubi to explore that wasn’t. It’s more of a slow burn erotic story with a bit of a succubus twist that falls into the story as a whole. It’s a shame that what came next never came to be.
