Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 21, 2018

Life just keeps getting more complicated for Brittany. Being a futa succubus is difficult enough, but becoming the focus of many others who want her for their own reasons is not a good thing. Especially when the devil wants a piece of her. Still, there is one good thing that remains with Brittany, the question is if she can hold onto them and not doom them as well.

The work remains focused Brittany’s futa aspects, her need, and how that drives her. The erotica is a bit hotter in this book, seeming that she is becoming more connected with her reality and finding that she is enjoying her powers. There’s some interesting mind control aspects, a bit of a dominance theme as well which does add to her character and expands others in the story making them more central and possibly a focal pint going forwards.

The world building continues, mainly in telling of the world that succubi and incubi exist in. Especially delightful is the appearance of the devil who is nothing like you might expect them to be. That’s a telling moment and for me really set a tone that I enjoyed.

There’s a bit of an appearance of Brittany being a succubus beyond the erotica which was interesting. That had been really needed and it gives her something to hang onto as the story progresses towards the ending. It’s in that revelation of her powers, and a warning which she really doesn’t understand but is so clearly obvious, that a hook for the series comes out fully.

Three out of five pitchforks.

Brittany’s character is more than she was and there’s some promise in that. There’s an interesting background being constructed and that should go far towards taking the story from the sex that seems to be taking up most of it, But there hasn’t been a fourth part to the series so far.

It’s a shame as with this larger story opening up there’s a lot of places the story can go, all the hints are there and it should happen. If nothing else, telling more about the succubi and incubi in this world would add a lot. Story usually does over sex alone.
