Plot Summary

Lucas is in deep debt to the mafia, and when they send some thugs to collect it, he flees into the old bootlegging tunnels underneath his restaurant. But in the darkness of the old passageways, he finds a stunning and sexy succubus. She offers him a solution to all his problems, and in exchange, all he has to do is free her. In his desperation, he agrees and releases her from the magic bindings. But the demoness wants much more, and she’s hiding a huge surprise from him. She wants to make him her pet for eternity. And it won’t be what Lucas expects at all.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 20, 2021

Lucas has a problem and it’s not just that the mafia wants him to pay his debt. It’s that he’s found Cindra in his restaurant’s basement. Freeing her leaves Lucas with the problem that she likes him, and he likes her. Where things go from there is anyone’s guess.

The story is mainly focused on the D/s relationship between Cindra and Lucas and where that takes them. It’s a really well told story with plot, some heat in the erotica, and a delightfully seductive succubus who knows what she wants mostly, which is the same problem that Lucas has.

Cindra, the succubus of the story, is seductive and passionate, but also so very dominant and that worked well. She’s also futa in nature, but really that doesn’t come into play except in the erotic scenes. Outside of that, she’s very much the seductress she is. Cindra’s personality, what seems like her moral code, and form are perfect for this story. How she entwines herself into Lucas’ life, the side of her the world sees, and what Lucas sees, are really telling.

There’s an attraction between the two characters that rang very true, and while the D/s relationship is very strong, it’s what happens outside of their private erotic moments that I found captivating. The erotica has its heat, but the story outside of those moments is what really makes things work well.

I liked this story a lot, and that’s mainly because Cindra is wonderful and Lucas is a delight. I think what’s missing for me is that we don’t find out a lot about Cindra’s past, who trapped her, and what she does when she’s not around Lucas. The hints bring questions, especially about one particular encounter she had long ago and I’d have liked a flashback or two. It’s also very telling that there’s one thing that Lucas should never do and that’s a story path that’s skimmed over. But then it’s the unsaid things that are the most delicious here.

Four out of five pitchforks.

The way things end, I really hope there’s a follow on, if only to get to see what comes next, how Cindra changes and Lucas becomes her pet more. It’s that offer of what’s next that I enjoyed and hope to see more.
