Plot Summary
Expecting dusty books, post-grad student Amelia's thesis research at the Alpdruck Private Library instead leads her to a hidden realm of sexual deviancy ruled by shapeshifting lust demons who know far too much about her. Temptation and secret desires pull Amelia deeper into the library's secret back room and its devices of stinging pleasure. How far does she really desire to go to reach the handsome young man she spies being delightfully punished by the strange librarians? How much of her will the demons expose?
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 10, 2025
A library is a library, except when the librarians are more than they seem to be at first. Amelia didn’t expect that the late fines were so bizarre, or that the sexual tension would overflow into her life. But she’s caught in a web of control and domination, the question is what price she will have to pay.
The work is a long, drawn out, simmering erotic tale of domination and control with hints of succubi around the edges to explain the more fantasy aspects of what occurs. It’s very much a mystery for the most part, the tension building as the main character comes t discover what happens within the library and then becomes entangled in the events herself.
The story is very detailed in each of the erotic moments, the succubi librarians have a certain flair about them, their dominance carries through each encounter. Things are very shaded and the innuendo is very strong until the reveal comes to pass and the main character and trapped in the web through to the end of the story.
The succubi librarians, such as Ms Lester, for the most part of the work, are more dominatrixes in their appearance and personality. It’s only at the point where the main character is brought to her own punishment that their succubus nature appears, horns and all, and then fades out as the BDSM themes take over the story entirely.
Three out of five pitchforks.
It’s a story about control and domination far more than a story about succubi. They are a means to explain why things are, but aren’t really a part of the story that matters all that much. They are interesting, they make the world function and the story comes to pass, but otherwise they are part of the story, not the story itself.
