Plot Summary
Slaezel is an incubus with some rather unusual morphological features that not even he fully understands. Though he normally hides these by shapeshifting into a human and calling himself 'Sly' when he lays with another demon and ends up pregnant, he learns quickly that not understanding how your body works can have devastating, fatal consequences.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 7, 2021
Slaezel is looking for another one-night stand, it is part of their nature after all. But they find Issheiza, another demon who sees through the façade. When the barriers to one’s own self fade away, the truth remains to be itself alone.
The work is a fantasy romance with an incubus theme revolving around the main character Slaezel. It’s something of a mystery at first, turning towards self-discovery and, eventually, the realization between themselves and Issheiza, the other main character of the work, as to what they being together has created.
Very emotional at times, there’s a longing between them both which carries throughout and offers a means for them as characters to grow. They aren’t really demons, less evil, overall. They are seekers of pleasure and desire, without question and it’s wonderful to see them come together as one.
Three out of five pitchforks.
It’s quite a different sort of story, a mixture of succubi and incubi myths and legends and it worked quite well. The attraction, the passion and desire is very heartfelt and delightful. I do wish it was a bit more than it is, to explore more of their lives together and the family that came to be. Wistful perhaps, but so very telling a read.
