Plot Summary

When Daniel's car breaks down, he finds himself stranded on the side of a road in the middle of night. A strange light then appears, and leads him down a path through a forest. Eventually, he arrives at the ruins of a large, Gothic mansion. Following the unnatural light into the house, he finds himself in a bedroom where there is a portrait of a man and a woman.

What happens next is that a black mist seeps out of the painting, then turns into a woman named Seraphina. Seraphina explains to Daniel that a host, preferably a woman, is needed to restore her husband to his former glory. Agreeing to become transformed into a woman, Daniel begins a journey of pleasure that he could never have before imagined existed.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 9, 2023

Daniel isn’t having the best of luck. Breaking down on the side f the road, seeking shelter in a mansion that gives him the creeps isn’t good either. But being offered something his soul desires more than life itself will change him utterly.

This work for the most part is a gender transformation story with mind control aspects and a but a glimpse of a succubus theme towards the end. The main character is led towards his fate, the story describes the mental and physical transformations and with them comes the erotic heat. That heat simmers over the story and doesn’t really climax as much as I would have liked. There is a lot of story taken up by these transformations and mental changes, which are interesting. But when it comes to the actual succubus transformation, that’s a very bare part of the overall tale.

Daniel is gender transformed and becomes a new female persona first long before being a succubus which ties a bow on things in that respect. However, there’s a feeling that the succubus transformation is something of an afterthought to push the story towards the conclusion and set his transformation and new being into stone. Given this happens in the last few pages, and isn’t delved into deeply, something seems lost in the story.

While the prior transformations in the story worked to advance the plot and character development, the succubus transformation didn’t add a lot. The last transformation could have been as easily to being a pet to his, now her, Mistress without the succubus aspects. As there was so little succubus aspects to this work, I found myself being a bit disappointed and by the time the succubus transformation did occur, and the latex aspect was a delight, there wasn’t much that happened in a character development or plot expansion sort of way and I wish that aspect would have been explored as deeply as the other transformations were.

Two out of five pitchforks.

There was, regrettably, so dearly little in the way of a succubus theme to be found in this work save for the last handful of pages. The focus was more on gender transformations and mind control overall. The story did have moments where I thought ut was interesting. But this really wasn’t very much of a Succubus story except in passing which was a shame with all else the story offered.
