Book Review

Elix cannot escape from the horrors that await him. Taken to hell, the truth calls for him and he cannot be free of it. The only way out is to suffer and battle for his soul, if he can make it.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, horror themed story with a fair bit of mythos creation and characters with some rather telling aspects. It’s not erotica, though it is hinted at slightly, as the horror aspects are very much in control as things develop.
The succuvus of the work, who is Elix’s mother transformed, or she seems to be, is something of a succubus twisted into a means of horror and it is a rather telling thing. There’s really not a lot of seduciveness, the story sets her into being evil with a purpose and that becomes her entire character.
Three out of five pitchforks.
It is a shame that the series didn’t continue from this work, there is a lot going on in such a short story and I wonder where things would go. More so about the main character, his mother is a succubus, so what does that make of him. It’s an interesting thing to think about.
