Plot Summary
A succubus is trying to take a day off from tempting mortal men and women to sexual depravity. Instead, she's at the local college campus library with a good book. A couple unwittingly tempts her to go back on the clock, though, with a debate over some in-the-stacks friskiness.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 21, 2020
Even a succubus needs to take a bit of time for themselves. For Lizabael, that means curling up with a good book in a library and seeking a different sort of passions. Being interrupted by two lovers however isn’t all that bad, especially when she can find a different sort of passion with them too.
The work is a fun and hot piece of erotica that circles around the main character Lizabael and her encounter at a library. It’s just a lot of fun, the heat is really well done and the erotica, both in fetish and passion, feels right overall. Quite well written, the characters are very much not one-dimensional, their personalities are amazing, and how that takes the story from encounter to erotica is wonderful.
Lizabael, the succubus of the work, I utterly adore. She’s a flirt, fun and passionate. A bit manipulative as well, a little naughty, but really not evil, more focused on passion and sex overall. The transformations are wonderful, her description is so very intriguing as well. Her succubus powers are very present in the story, but add to it, not overwhelm, and just makes for such a better story being the tease she is.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
It’s really a shame that the series wasn’t continued. Lizabael is such a fascinating succubus character and it would have been a delight to learn about her past, more of the role of succubi and incubi in this story universe as well. A lovely read, quite captivating, but I dearly wish there was more than there is.
