Plot Summary
Something is unsettling about Briarhill. It disappeared from all the official records two hundred years ago. And now, an evil menace has swept down from the mountains and into the city. People are dying, and Randal becomes an unwitting eyewitness, almost a victim. He learns the terrible truth, but who will believe him? Amber, the Chief Medical Examiner must solve the riddle and soon, before the body count gets much higher. The evidence and leads become too bizarre to believe. Soon, Randal and his friends are sought by both the police and the murderers. They become tossed into the conflict with little hope for success. In the end, can love conquer evil, or will evil conquer Randal, and through Randal, the world.
