Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 5, 2021

Valentine’s Day at a strip club is not the best of things to do. For Scott, all he expects is the one dance he can afford before returning to his misery. An encounter with Katya reveals a world hidden from him, the existence of succubi, and the possibility of being one. Taking the leap, Alyssa will discover love and lust, joy and pain, and what it means to be one of the succubi.

The work is a rather telling mix of gender transformation, succubus transformation, futa erotica, and in a way it’s a coming of age story as well. There’s quite a lot of erotica along the way, some very passionate and desirable, others more raw and wild. Beyond that, the development of the main character towards being the succubus Alyssa is something really special to see unfold. It’s a bit quirky, a little silly at times, but that meshes well with the deeper aspects of the story and gives light to some darker moments as well.

The succubi of the story, Katya, Alyssa, and Billie are something quite special. They are very much succubi, their sexual natures are so dearly present throughout the story. The futa aspects are not taken over the top or made to feel out of place, which I think made them all, in each of their forms, more interesting than just being futa succubi with little other personality. The development of each is wonderful and made the work a delight throughout.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

The story is half gender transformation, and half succubus themed overall. That’s not to say there aren’t some interesting moments, for here are. But overall if felt like parts of the story were missing, or the story moved too quickly when a bit of time to explore the succubi themselves would have added a lot, I think.
