Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 8, 2023
If there is one thing that succubi find irresistible, beyond tempting humans, or toying with them, or mind controlling them, or having their way with them, it’s a mystery. Raven and Vix are very curious about two particular students and one way or the other, they will see that both of them will see themselves, and each other, in a new light.
Taking a small jump in time from the prior work in the series, the focus is entirely on Raven and Vix as they convince two students to see things differently. What’s the most fascinating is how in each entanglement, how the succubi act is so very different and so very much how their personalities have appeared so far. It’s something of a naughty or nice exploration of them both, which really worked well. The professor is mentioned in passing, but he’s very much out of the picture which seems to give both Raven and Vix free rein to deal with the two students they are curious about.
It’s really the first time in the series where Raven and Vix’s personalities and their powers are deeply explored and, honestly, it’s wonderfully told. It’s not a simply snapping of fingers and the students fall to them by far. There’s a slow temptation which turns into a delightful collaring of their wills and minds. It’s not exactly evil, though there are undercurrents from the succubi. I think of it as peering into their souls and using the desire found to make them fall to the seductresses.
The erotica is, quite simply, delicious. The heat simmers, the lusts grow over time. It’s a slow path towards, for lack of a better word, surrendering to the succubi and what they want the students to be. The twists and turns for both Raven and Vix and their prey, are wonderfully written and the falls are captivating in their description and transformations.
Raven and Vix continue to amuse and delight me. They aren’t exactly evil, though the hints are there. Naughty yes, they delight in their powers over others. More so, their utter fascination with the desires to be played with and, more importantly for the series, a mystery they need to figure out, is a perfect means to explore their characters. The discussion over a threat the professor made which they discussed at the close of the work left me giggling in amusement too.
While there isn’t a lot of world building here, it’s not as important as the development of Raven and Vix as characters which happens. They are becoming far more than their first appearance here and that was amazing to see. The fun continues, the story delights and it’s every bit as much fun as the prior works are.
Five out of five pitchforks.
I find myself wondering what, if any, end game Raven and Vix are up to. Yes the professor is seemingly in control, but something else might be happening around the edges. There’s been aspects of succubi control in many ways, and I wonder if, possibly, Raven and Vix might be working towards turning humans into succubi or incubi. It’s an interesting thought, more wondering just how powerful they are really.

Regardless of all else, the story telling and delight just are amazing and I look forwards to seeing what’s next for these naughty succubi.
