Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 12, 2020
There are wishes that a soul holds within themselves that never could possibly happen. But sometimes there is an offer made, a decision that follows. What comes afterwards is a matter of belief and will and, perhaps, love if one is especially lucky.
The work is a short gender transformation story with a bit of a succubus, and to a lesser aspect, incubus edge to the transformations. But the gender swaps are the core of the story and how the main characters relationships, and themselves, change and adapt is really what the story is about.
The succubus transformation is sort of a means to an end, to provide characters with reason for things to happen and to allow them to become more aware of themselves. They aren’t evil, though they are very much focused on sex however.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
Far more a gender transformation story than one about succubi overall. It’s interesting, there’s a lot of character development as well and it’s well done. But at the core the succubus aspects are more of a means to an end than the focus of the work.
