Plot Summary
Tyler is fit and successful, but he feels that life has never rewarded him for his talents. The mysterious box that he finds changes his life forever. Only a magician can summon forth the succubus and Tyler discovers that he has the gift. When the succubus is free, she can give Tyler all that he desires. Soon he learns that wishes can be dangerous things...

Tyler is a dreamer, a wisher and when he discovers a strange box, he releases Beltis who wishes to make all of his dreams come true. But dreams come with a price and that price will be costly to them both.
The work is a fantasy adventure erotic story with a bit of a horror edge that creeps in by the close of the work. While there are erotic moments, it’s really not focused on that overall. The interaction between Tyler and Beltis is both odd and quite unique, the truth coming out slowly as things develop.
Beltis, who is described as a succubus, can be thought of being a succubus and also a genie and several other supernatural beings. At the close of the story, they are more a drider, part spider and part woman, but their form is so very fluid throughout the story that everything might well be a mask for their true form. So, again, the conceit that they are a succubus works here in many ways.

There are some succubus aspects to Beltis, though overall they seems more like a kind of genie in a way. it is an unique idea, and the succubus aspect of their character does make some sense as well. It’s a different sort of story with an edge of both sadness and longing that the ending brought and what quite unexpected.
