Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 26, 2025

Vanna has but one goal, one thought, but there is a burning within that cannot be resisted forever. There will be a price paid, and both Vanna and those that caused all to happen, will be the ones to pay it.

The work is a very short fantasy adventure with a bit of a succubus transformation around the edges which turns into something of a succubus domination erotica story by the close. The work is very well told, there’s a lot of story background and mythos being created as well. The erotica is focused into two scenes in the story, the heat is both is very much tied into the main cahracre as she becomes a succubus fully.

The story is far more about what happened to Vanna and her home with the succubus transformation being very much shaded away to be come something of an afterthought. The story is really quite telling, but there’s less about Vanna being a succubus until the climax, being hinted at otherwise.

Vanna, the main character, becomes something of a unique succubus, mainly in her powers and physical form by the end of the story. Her powers are very much that of a succubus with a bit of futa and tentacle erotica mixed in. She’s not evil by any means, but rather focused on her revenge and all that she is as a succubus is bent on that above all else.

Vanna is transformed through an encounter with a succubus that is mentioned, more teased than anything else. It’s a shame as that succubus really needed to be more in the story, to tell of what Vanna agreed to. If nothing else, having her appear, to gloat perhaps over what Vanna has become feels like a missing part of the story that needed to be there.

Three out of five pitchforks.

The work ends in a place that ties things up, but at the same time there are a lot of questions about Vanna, her truly becoming a succubus, and what that really means. It would be interesting to see the afterwards, to tell the story of what happens to her as a succubus. Perhaps that is a story needing to be told.
