Plot Summary

In a Demonic Dimension, peaceful people live, farming and tilling the land. Sadly for them, peace is a fragile thing, and can rarely be kept. In this world, there are those demons who have plans for the world of Ignis. They will start new experiments. Seize a powerful gem, and wreak havoc on the fate of many. But Reic will not stand for it. He alone has the power to change the fabric of fate. The question now is: will he succeed in his quest? Or is he merely a pawn for the most powerful of demons?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on January 28, 2020

A quest begun can never be what is expected. The goal may be shrouded in mystery and the challenges met never end. It can also be that one is just a puppet being played for another’s game after all.

The work is a fantasy adventure with a bit of swords and sorcery around the edges to carry the characters along the plot. Overall, the main character is interesting, but how the story is written takes away a lot of the passion and drive, getting them hidden beneath a narrative that is very difficult to get through.

As for the succubus in this work, they are part of the story, but the story doesn’t revolve around them. Evil yes, but beyond that there’s very little as they are as stereotypical as the other demons and villains were, which was disappointing.

Two out of five pitchforks.

The work needs another editing pass to clean up the dialogue and the narrative. It’s just such a lost story trying to find itself and that takes a lot away from what otherwise could have been an interesting fantasy adventure. It’s not a succubus focused story however, they just aren’t that important to how things turned out.
