If nothing else about this work in the series interested me, it was telling the smallest fraction of succubus lore in this universe. At the same time, that reveal offers some paths to take and they really need to be. It’s still a harem series, not really a succubus one. The story needs to get back to that aspect of things and tell that story.

Book Review

Sometimes reality comes knocking and when it does, often things go wrong. For Jessica and her husband. it’s all about the sex and building a harem. For Candace, the worry is what she knows is coming for Jessica. There might be a way out of this, but who can really say.

Set immediately after the prior work in the series, the focus remains on the orgy the main characters are involved in with a bit of plot and universe building on the edges. The story is entirely around a single sex scene, over the top once more and lacking a lot of heat as a whole.

While there is really no character development for Jessica, the succubus of the series, there is some mythos reveals about succubi. That in itself was a surprise, more so the notes about Lilith, about the succubi being very close to her nature. There’s a bit told with regards to why Jessica wants a harem for her husband, and how he’s changed because of her. This all was actually very promising and appeared at the beginning of the story, but it really wasn’t explored further.

As for the impending plot and characters soon to appear, there’s a clear danger there, and it might bring needed conflict to the story. The question is if that would take the succubus aspects of the series in a new direction or stall once more. Hopefully it is something better.

One and a half out of five pitchforks.

If nothing else about this work in the series interested me, it was telling the smallest fraction of succubus lore in this universe. At the same time, that reveal offers some paths to take and they really need to be. It’s still a harem series, not really a succubus one. The story needs to get back to that aspect of things and tell that story.
