But I don’t expect it. That would be too much to ask for all things considered, but we’ll see.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 7, 2024

The truth is a very fluid thing when it matters and for Carl and Jessica the truth is the harem is threatened. They have to act, they have to retrieve what is there’s. But there’s something else going on and the question becomes what the truth really is.

The work follows on immediately from the prior part of the series and splits into two part, the first is Carl and Jessica rescuing Mary and the latter being a return to the typical erotic scenes that have come before in the series. As a whole it’s a bit disappointing that it does, the opening of the work offers something really spectacular to draw from, but it just doesn’t carry on with it.

Jessica’s appearance as a truly powerful succubus, while a bit confused from the perspective of Morgan the witch, is honestly the single scene of a succubus that this author has written that held my attention. She’s powerful, seductive and immensely dominant. Considering that she seems to be seen as being Lilith, that’s very telling.

It’s honestly a shame that it’s taken this long for Jessica’s true nature as the force she is to be revealed, even if in a way that leaves a lot of questions. Imagine if she’d been this dominant and controlling throughout and more central to the story. So many story paths could have been explored and it just seems like they will never be.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

While the majority of this part of the series barely had Jessica, honestly that one small scene with her being so very Lilith-like and domineering as a succubus was honestly the single hottest moment in the series. Yes it was a bit of misunderstanding, yes it wasn’t what it seemed to be, exactly. But what if Jessica is actually Lilith? That would put a turn on things and it would really be interesting. But I don’t expect it. That would be too much to ask for all things considered, but we’ll see.
