Carillea, the succubus of the work, really doesn’t feel exactly evil. She is a succubus, the horns, tail and wings along with her red skin and eyes, makes that very clear. But it’s her personality, the mirth in her voice, the delight she has in what and who she is that brought me to adore her.

While the work is something of a passing encounter, it does allow for the possibility of something more in the future and that really interests me. There’s a story for both characters to tell, but it’s Carillea who, of course, holds my attention. Perhaps the author will write more about her, I do hope so, she’s a delight as is this work is.

Four out of five pitchforks.

I would have loved the work to be longer, a bit more beyond the sexual encounter and more towards telling Carillea’s story. She’s a mystery, and that fascinates me. Perhaps a story about her and from her perspective is a thought to be considered. I really hope it might be and she’ll appear In another work by this author soon.

Plot Summary

When Gustavus is shot through the leg with a poisoned crossbow bolt, all seems lost. But instead of death greeting him on the other side of unconsciousness, he wakes in the bed of sultry succubus Carillea.

She offers him a deal. She'll remove the poison the only way a succubus knows how; in exchange, she demands each and every last drop of his seed. Will he be able to take her by the horns and meet her insatiable demands? Or will Carillea drain him dry?

Book Review

Gustavas has a problem, and her name is Carillea. Yes she’s a succubus, a temptress impossible to resist. But he has bigger problems of his own making and putting himself at her tender mercies might turn out to be the best thing he’s ever done.

The work is a slightly long hot flash piece of erotica that reads as a complete story with a beginning, middle and end. The heat is amazing, the characters have stories to tell and how they become entwined is a delight. The story is very much focused on succubus erotica and with all that happens, it brought me a smile and I adored it completely.

The erotic heat simmers and then heats up delightfully when Carillea gives Gustavas the help he needs. Once that need passes, then Carillea nature as a succubus, and what she craves, takes the story in a direction that brought out the temptation and passions between the two.
