Plot Summary
Carmen is tired of being overlooked. At work and in her dating life. It seems every guy she meets only talks to her to get info about her more busty and curvaceous friend Yasmine. At work the only women getting promoted are the one's doing 'overtime' under the bosses desk. It's an unfair world for the more shy and reserved Carmen and she's fed up with it. So when a mysterious man offers her a way to take the opportunities she wants she is desperate enough to accept it.
She doubts that a new necklace will really make an impact but it's not like it could make things any worse. To her immense surprise though it does exactly what the man said it would do. She suddenly finds herself becoming irresistible to everyone guy meets! The more lustful they become the more power she gains over them. Her powers soon become so strong that even the women at the office begin fawning over her. Eager to please her in every way they can think of.
What Carmen soon begins to realise though is that the necklace isn't just helping her. It's corrupting her too. As it collects more lust and she gains more control over others the more she craves the power. Seducing anyone who has something she wants is becoming impossible to resist as her body itself begins to change into the perfect succubus. Can she break free of the spell she is under before it consumes her? Or maybe there is a different ending for her altogether...
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 10, 2024
Having power sometimes isn’t a question of what the power is than who is in control of it. Carmen has come to relish the power she has been given, but there is a cost to everything and she will pay, one way or the other.
The story continues immediately after the prior work with Carmen continuing to use her powers to ensnare others and make them do her bidding. Thus the story and heat comes from the mind control Carmen fully possesses and the sex drive the necklace pushes into her. She isn’t physically a succubus, but her actions and powers give her aspects of being one. There is finally the reveal of something within the necklace, likely a succubus, controlling Carmen, but it’s fleeting as the erotic scenes take up most of the work.
The erotica being stuck in sex scene after scene just leaves me impatient for the story to get past the orgy and to Carmen’s full succubus transformation and where that leads to.
Still, towards the close of the work, the succubus, pr at least her voice, appears to taunt Carmen and push her over the edge. The truth of what the succubus wanted comes out and it makes sense with all else that happened. It’s that aspect of the overall story that remains missing for me. The mind control is well done, the slight bimboization of Carmen fits what happened to her. Even the shift of her physically into a sex toy has a purpose.
If nothing else, the story turned that little bit further into Carmen being a succubus, if not fully so. It’s a shame there are no horns or tail to be seen, it’s a shame that the power behind everything wasn’t explored more.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
Where the story ends is, honestly, rather disappointing. If the series ends here, there’s a lot of story left untold, not the least of which is what, or who, the pendant is. A follow-on with hat focus, perhaps possessing Carmen, would be interesting. As things stand however, the story is seeking something, but didn’t find it before the story came to a close.
