Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 20, 2024
Carl’s harem has exploded and Jessica can’t be more pleased. After all, it’s her purpose as a succubus to see that her husband is well looked after. But there are storms on the horizon and danger approaching for them all.
Following from the prior work, the main focus is a series of sex scenes within the convent where the characters now reside. As such, there’s really very little character development or plot movement, but where there is some, it’s actually very interesting as it sets up the series going forwards.
There is more character development with other characters than there is for Jessica, the succubus of the series, which means that the questions around her are still not explored. That’s not to say she doesn’t appear, she’s at the focus of one of the sex scenes and there’s a bit of her succubus nature that comes out.
But with that said, there’s so very little in the way of a succubus story once more. It’s become entirely focused on Carl and the harem he is building as well as the many other characters which have been drawn into the story. That’s the real problem here, there are so many interesting characters and stories that could be explored, but it gets lost in the sex and it just leaves so much aside which I really wish would be delved into.
One out of five pitchforks.
The works closes in a place which brings the long telegraphed conflict to the fore. The question is if that really will brung some plot and character development. I honestly hope it does and if so, perhaps much like another series the climax here will bring with it something I’ve been waiting for.
