Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on September 10, 2024

Carl finds that his harem wants to reward him for winning the battle and so much more. The pleasures are a delight and he wishes them to be everlasting. But others have plans of their own and if he isn’t careful, he may lose Jessica forever.

The work picks up where the last book closed and once more mainly is focused on another orgy for the characters. There’s really very little heat overall, much of the dialogue, the sex itself, has been done before and several times over in the series, It feels like something of a placeholder here until the story catches up and the plot can move towards a climax.

Jessica, the succubus of the series, really has very little to do other than encourage the harem to please her husband and delight in that. At least that’s true until the last few pages of the story when things take a hard turn into Jessica, her character, and the plot around her.

It’s those last few pages which return to the question of who Jessica is and what others want with her. It’s taken this long to get to the point about Jessica and see where that leads things. It’s the question of if she is who some think she is. That intrigues me and while it’s very much a tease for the next work in the series, there’s a possibility that Jessica’s story will be told and I honestly hope it is after this long.

Two out of five pitchforks.

The rest of the series has been window dressing to this point and if the series could get away from the sex and get into exploring Jessica, succubi, and why she’s the last, that’s what I’ve been waiting for. But I have little expectations of that with how things have developed so far.
