Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 3, 2024

It seems that Ethan is becoming more irresistible to the women around him. But that’s starting to become a problem and others are taking notice. He might have started a harem, but he might not get to enjoy it much longer.

Following from the prior work, the main focus is a series of erotic scenes that feel very repetitive and are lacking in heat. The dialogue is very adult film in tone, the narrative seems very uninterested at times in what it happening. There’s a lack of passion as well which leaves a lot to be desired.

As for Ethan, who is still described as the incubus of the series, there’s no character development with him at all as an incubus. That said, his personality is changing from where he started and overall is becoming less and less likeable. It seems he will likely become a stereotypical incubus sooner or later and that seems disappointing. But I find myself wondering if he really is an incubus and not some other being. That might make more sense with how some of the characters are referring to him.

One pitchfork out of five.

Other than the sex, and that wasn’t at all interesting by any means, once more there wasn’t any sense of this being an incubus themed story. There wasn’t anything that interested me and overall, the series has come to the point where I find it rather bland. It could turn back towards the mystery of Ethan and especially his real mother, but I’m not expecting that to be resolved or returned to at all.
