Plot Summary
Welcome to Devil’s Hollow. Population: complicit.

It’s a town with a secret, a dark and demonic one. But all secrets are revealed in time when they are confronted with the truth and the one who will set the trapped souls free.
The work is a mixture of adventure and dark fantasy set in a somewhat modern tone. It’s very atmospheric, the story being told from the main characters perspective throughout. It is dark, dearly so, but there is a glimmer of light that comes from the main character which presses against that.
The erotica is focused on the main character being futa, and it is a little over the top here and there, a little forceful from time to time. But with that said, it also makes sense and doesn’t feel like it is a part of the story for the sake of being so. There’s a point to things and over time that turns the story towards the climax and ending that felt somehow right.
Salem, the succubus of the work, isn’t fully a succubus, though she is very much a futa. She has a certain tone of voice, a way of presenting herself and her thoughts that are different and quite unique really. Her futa aspects drive the erotica, but in that comes something which reflects on her nature and what drives her to confront the evil she does. She’s anything but stereotypical, more a dark angel of vengeance in a way and that I thought was interesting.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
The work closes in a way that leads towards the next work in the series, and it’s a bit of an ominous tone. That does work with the balance of the story and who Salem is however. There’s a lot untold here, a lot to explore about her and perhaps in the coming series that will be more the focus beyond something of a demon of the week.
