Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 27, 2018

For Charlotte, things are sort of expected, the same every day. But a very strange encounter with a woman leaving a book behind opens her to possibilities, and the one she chooses brings Neyat to her and it’s all that Charlotte needed.

The work is an erotic hot flash with succubus, futa, domination and submission themes wrapped around the storytelling. Well written, the characters are drawn to each other and what follows is passion and desires unleashed and a need discovered that comes fully to both.

The erotica is a slow burn with a climax at the close, but which felt a bit lost in getting there. A strong emphasis on the futa theme, of course, The story constructs both the characters and the world around them to a purpose and by the end of the story, that is well fulfilled.

Neyat, the succubus of the story, isn’t evil, she’s a temptress given form more than anything else. She is a futa of course, and that aspect of her is sensual as well, it’s not jarring or seems out of place. It’s her nature, Charlotte is attracted to that, and what follows is their entanglement.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

It’s an interesting story, both characters have their appeals. But it is a bit odd overall, there’s aspects that should have been explored snd they weren’t. That’s not to say it’s a poor story, it really isn’t. I just expected something more.
