Plot Summary

I never intended on starting the Apocalypse. A small mistake, and my roommate swears I summoned demons to earth. Not any demon, though. The personification of the Seven Deadly Sins. For a moment, I think he’s mad. But then I see her.

Greed.

She tells me she’s a succubus, and there’s a reason she has this name. She wants everything. Starting with me. Will I be able to bind this woman, and send her back to hell? Or will she consume me, then the rest of the world?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 31, 2022

Nico believed he came up with the perfect get rich scheme. Everyone was making money on crypto. Why shouldn’t he? But a book held by his roommate opens the door to some very large complications. What do you do when you’ve released the seven sins and they all are succubi? Nico isn’t sure but it will be something he’ll never forget, starting with one called Greed.

The work is a wonderfully told mixture of humour and erotica that works really well and is possibly the best work this author has created with succubi characters. The story is amusing from beginning to end and as such there are some silly moments mixed in the more serious aspects when the succubus of the work, Greed, makes herself known.

Greed, who has no horns or tail, and I hope is given a less obvious name if she’s going to be wandering about the mortal realm, is an absolute joy. She’s devious, fun, seductive and has no concerns about being all that she is. While some of the erotica with her goes a bit over the top, otherwise I just adored her.

The erotica runs hot and cold overall which is a shame. There’s a bit too much of male endownment commentary that comes through the story which really need not be. There’s more than enough heat, and fun, in Greed’s efforts to take Nico and vice versa without the constant commentary about Nico’s prowess. While that’s part of the story, it is more male dominant than female so far, there were other routes and doirections the erotica could have gone that offered more delight for me.

The writing is very good, the personalities are very strong and there’s a good sense of the storytelling that offers something to look forward to. There is a small possibility that the core theme, which seems to be a harem building story overall, might just be focused on that and nothing more. That I hope won;t be. That said, the story offered is told well, is a delight to read, and given some polishing of the charcaters beyond their sexual needs, the series can be somethinhg amazing.

Four out of five pitchforks.

I hope that the balance of the succubi sisters have as interesting and delightful a personality as Greed does. There’s a lot to like in the story so far, the characters are quite fun. Perhaps the author might try and not make this series a typical harem story as I don’t think that’s needed. There’s enough possibilities to create a better story with more depth and character development. We’ll see what the next work brings with it.
