Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 20, 2018

In Vegas, the odds are always against you. But sometimes you can win, just a little. Robert has his love, but there are dark plans once more. It’s a gamble to find the answer, and it might be one the will change him and those he loves, forever.

The work continues on from the prior work in the series, quickly taking the main character Robert, and his love Genevieve towards a dark plan that involves them, their friends, and a surprise none expected. It’s really well told and it’s interesting to see where the characters develop to by the ned of the story.

Sandra, the succubus of the first work, passed on and she was then possessed by the water nymph Genevieve, which creates all sorts of odd situations and complications. But she isn’t a succubus, she is very much a water nymph, if having the body of a succubus. But with that said, there’s nothing succubi themed really in this story. As for Marcus, who was Sandra’s son, he’s mentioned to be partly succubus in nature, to explain his powers, but there’s nothing succubus, or for that matter, incubus about him save his nature.

Three out of five pitchforks.

It’s a fantasy adventure with a little bit of a note here and there about one of the characters being the son of a succubus and what that means. It’s a shame that Sandra didn’t make it out of the first book into this one, to tell her story. Still, it’s as complex as the first and interesting, but really there’s so little in the way of any succubi or incubi narrative.
