Plot Summary
Auraelie can see the future with a touch, but her gift forces her to limit contact with others or risk death. As the Emperor’s Oracle, she must accept that her life is not her own, that her sacrifice is for the good of all her people--not just the oracles, but every member of the magical races in Pynth. But when a prince from distant shores arrives at court, everything changes. The only man she’s ever met whom she can safely touch, he may be the biggest threat she’s ever faced. Or the answer to all her dreams.
To avoid a disastrous marriage, Sebin Velor sails across the ocean, intent on finding new opportunities. The rebellion brewing in the imperial capital is not his concern. Not until he meets Auraelie. The plight of the alluring oracle opens his eyes to the injustices in Pynth, but the human rebels don’t see the big picture. And the magical races are distrustful. Sebin will have to bring them all together if he wants to see Auraelie free. Even if it means losing her himself.
