Plot Summary

Everything was wrong. I was losing my sanity and my body was falling apart. Going to a shrink had been a terrible idea. Who knew that someone licensed to muck about in people’s heads could be an evil demoness? The only thing to do was to give in to Meeza and let her completely control me.

There was only one way out. It would, however, come at a price.

I was literally going crazy.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 10, 2021

For one soul time is running out, the succubus delighting in her prey’s downfall. But a dark soul only cares for itself and can do the most unspeakable things when there is no other choice.

The work continues the story from before, the sexual deviancy of the main character taking up the majority of the story. As such the erotica really didn’t do much for me, the heat wasn’t there. That said, Meeza, the succubus of the work, finally comes fully into her power and form here. In that happening it brought more focus to her and somewhat more depth as well. She really isn’t revealed much overall, save for her being stereotypically evil, and that was a bit of a shame. Her motives are made plain, and there are points where Meeza’s control over the main character worked far better than her flashes of appearances prior.

Still, the work has a dark tone, ending in a way that was expected and somewhat thin compared to what came before. I’m not sure the ending worked well, I think there might have been further revelations that should have appeared but didn’t. Overall there’s a need for more development in Meeza’s character, a bit more time spent in tying up the story and bringing it to a better close. The twist in the ending was interesting in what happens to the main character. But that said, there was an opportunity to take another character towards being a succubus, which should have happened as that would have been poetic.

Three out of five pitchforks.

While the balance of the series, really the first 3/4 of the book, just didn’t do anything for me, this part finally brought Meeza out fully. That said, she really wasn’t much more than a stereotypical succubus with some odd fetishes and needs. It’s a shame that not that much was told about her, that’s a very large missing part here. Overall this isn’t everything I’d hoped for, or expected. For some the themes will be enjoyable but I just couldn’t get into the series overall. I think that’s a shame because it would have been interesting to see things from Meeza’s point of view and what she thought as the series unfolded.
