While the story is delightful and Cooper and Alice’s story is wonderfully told, there’s just not enough Portia, the main Succubus character of the series, in the story for me overall. The series cannot, of course, focus on Portia. There’s other stories of romance and passion to tell and honestly it’s as an amazing read as the first work in the series. However it’s not really a Succubus story like the first work, Portia is part of things, but she’s not as connected as in the first. We’ll see what the next work in the series brings, I do hope for a little more told about Portia and Lou. It would be nice to see. | |||
