Plot Summary

Elic, weakened from prolonged sexual deprivation during his solitary travels from his Nordic homeland, is captured by Gauls who aren’t quite sure whether he’s a demon or a god, but know that he can sire offspring with extrasensory gifts. Maddened by lust, he breaks free one night to ravish the enticing Paullia, who washed him—with provocative thoroughness—while he was bound and helpless. Upon being recaptured and held in chains, he is given two choices: burn to death or engage in orgiastic rites for the purpose of producing new druids. He chooses the latter. During his captivity, he befriends and helps a young couple who are deeply in love but forbidden by ancient tradition to wed.
