Plot Summary
Baroness Alis Pureheart has returned triumphantly from the siege of Stonebreak, having defeated the Goblin Hero. However, in her true identity as Mhyrsha Shadowsoul, a new concern has raised its ugly head. The Theocracy of Eclana has sent its Inquisitors abroad, searching for the one who cast the blasphemous ritual against the strictures of the God of Death. Now, an Inquisitor and his retinue have come to Windwater Barony.
Confronting them directly is impossible. Not only would it ruin her cover identity as Alis Pureheart, but the simple fact is that she and her party are too low-level to take on the Inquisitor and his men, who have the advantage on them in levels, numbers, and experience. Of course, Mhyrsha isn't going to just hide and hope they go away. But how will she destroy them, without exposing her true identity?
