Things are going well for Ms. Ekhinos, the bills are being paid, her boarding house is becoming a home. Yes, Aoi is a pain but the money is nice to have. But there’s a snake in the grass that threatens what she has built and what happens next is anyone’s guess.

Fallowing on immediately from the prior work, the main focus is on two threads, one being Aoi, the newest character having her way with other monster girls and the other is Ms. Ekhinos facing an inspection of the boarding house that winds up not going very well. As for Vixen, the succubus of the work, she’s on the edges of the story for the most part and injects the occasional comment to spur things along.

The erotica with Aoi is somewhat over the top and really felt like much of what could have been unique became somehow boring. The heat really isn’t there, the passion is tepid and that was disappointing. It’s more so that there’s so very little actual story or plot told with how much the focus is on Aoi and what she gets up to.

Vixen still seems to matter in the series, she is appearing so often after all. But she’s mainly part of the background given everything else that is going on in the work. Again, that’s expected, there are so many characters after all. Setting that aside, the mystery about Vixen and that of Ms. Ekhinos really needs to be explored and I hope those themes are soon.

Three out of five pitchforks.

Once more this isn’t a succubus centered story. That said, the overall story took a turn towards having some conflict and where that might go will be interesting. I hope that the author will focus a bit more on that in the next part of the series as some character development would mean a lot for all of the characters.

Plot Summary

Ms. Ekhinos's boarding house for lesbian monster girls is about to be inspected by the local government. Which means she can't let the inspector know that a bevy of hot monster girls live in her house. Fearing Madam Aoi, the arrogant kitsune MILF will expose them, Ms. Ekhinos needs her distracted. The nubile unicorn and naughty dryad are up for the task. They lure the busty kitsune MILF out into the woods to have one hot afternoon romp with her. The naughty lesbian monster girls will keep Madam Aoi out of the way. Hopefully, Ms. Ekhinos's boarding house passes with flying colors!

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 7, 2023
